ABOUT US
Who Are We?
We’re a vocational training hub that gives young people the chance to learn real construction skills in a hands-on way. Based at Kingsway Business Park, our modern training centre is easy to get to with great transport links, making it simple for learners to access opportunities.
Our place isn’t just about tools and materials, it’s about building confidence, resilience, and future careers. With a state-of-the-art facility and supportive mentors, we help young people take their first steps into the construction industry and set themselves up for success.
Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to equip young people with the practical skills, confidence, and qualifications they need to thrive in the construction industry. Through hands-on learning, tailored support, and real-world experience, we provide an inclusive and inspiring environment where every learner can build a strong foundation for a successful future.
Our Vision
Our vision is to re-engage young people who are struggling with or disengaged from mainstream education and to prepare them for positive next steps using our expertise in construction. We combine a practice construction pathway with targeted SEMH support, mentoring and high staff to learner ratios to build the employability, confidence and the social and emotional skills needed to sustain education, training or work.
Who Is Impact For?
We offer accredited qualification in construction skills. Delivery is hands on in the workshop, with assessment through practical tasks and portfolio evidence. Programmes are tailored so learners complete the level and units that match their needs and readiness leading to a nationally recognised qualification and clear progression routes.
Our construction course covers a range of crafts to help young people to identify strengths and interest before specialising.
Pre-16:
Each person’s program is created with their mentor to support their growth, with plenty of help along the way. Our centres provide a welcoming space where people can build stronger relationships, develop new skills, and get ready for what’s next. These opportunities help boost confidence, meet new people, and pick up useful skills. They’ll also get to try out a range of trades so they can see what type of career suits them best.
Post-16:
At Impact, we support young people aged 16–24 who are at risk of, or have already stepped away from, education, employment, or training. Our programmes are built around each individual, focusing on what matters to them, what they’re good at, and what they need to succeed.
With the right support, young people gain confidence, practical skills, and resilience for everyday life. We help them grow into positive, active members of their communities and prepare them to move on to further learning, training, or jobs that fit their goals and aspirations.
